RAWM is a New York State OASAS Approved Provider and a NAADAC Approved Education Provider. (OASAS refers to the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. NAADAC refers to the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.)

RAWM provides CASAC-related services (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) and credentialing services to become a Certified Prevention Professional (CPP), or Credentialed Prevention Specialist (CPS) in the state of New York.

Grants for Qualified Applicants!

RAWM, in its continuous effort to train qualified counselors provides partial tuition grants to qualified applicants. Grants provided by RAWM are based on income and other extenuating circumstances. Grants range from $100-$1,000.

Applicants may apply for a grant via email that includes annual income amount and/or a description of extenuating circumstances. Responses are sent within 72 hours of receipt. Grant applicants should also have already completed the School Enrollment Application.

Applicants should be prepared to start classes within 30 days of being approved for a grant. The regular tuition cost for the entire 350-hour Classroom Program is $5,226.00

To apply, annual income must be $25,000 or less. The amount of the grant will be assessed and determined by RAWM

Become a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor CASAC

The 350-hour CASAC certification program is divided into four sections:

1) Knowledge of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse
2) Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counseling
3) Assessment; Clinical Evaluation; Treatment Planning; Case Management;
    and Patient, Family and Community Education
4) Professional and Ethical Responsibility

The program to become a Certified Prevention Professional (CPP) is 250 hours.
